  • What is your cancellation policy?
    Reservations MUST BE cancelled 48 hours prior to the rental reservation start time to receive a refund. NO REFUNDS will be issued for cancellations within 48 hours of the rental reservation start time. In the case of rain at the reservation start time, or a severe weather warning that includes Prior Lake, you will be able to re-book the rental for another time (within 365 days). Knotty Oar Marina reserves the right to cancel reservations at any time for weather related concerns, and you will be able to re-book the rental for another time (within 365 days). In no case will a refund be issued due to weather.
  • Should I come early?
    If you want to get out on the lake at your rental time, we suggest coming 20 minutes early to check in and go over the contract.
  • What is included on the rental?
    All of our rentals are approved by the DNR and are all up to date for what is needed. There are 11 life jackets, 1 throw-able device, 1 fire extinguisher and 1 bimini sun shade.
  • How old do you have to be to rent/drive the boat?
    25 years of age or older with a valid driver's license.
  • Do you need a driver's license to rent/drive the boat?
    Yes. And you must be 25 years of age or older.
  • How many people are allowed on the pontoon?
    11 passengers, including small children.
  • Are there life jackets?
    Yes - the standard orange ones. Children 10 and younger have to wear a life jacket at all times.
  • Can we tube or ski?
    No towing of any kind is allowed.
  • Is fuel included?
    No. When you get here the pontoon is filled up with gas and you pay for whatever you use.
  • Can we bring pets?
    No pets allowed.
  • What if I have never driven a pontoon before or have never been on Prior Lake?
    You can still rent if you've never been on Prior Lake or if you've never driven a pontoon before. The staff goes over the lake and how to operate the pontoon thoroughly. There is a lake map on the pontoon.
  • Can we smoke on the boat?
    No smoking.
  • Is there a garbage on the boat?
    Yes.
  • How long is the pontoon?
    24 feet long.
  • What is the horsepower?
    115hp Mercury engines.
